SHPE - SHAPE
We have partnered with the Sourh Bay-Los Angeles Chapter and the USC Student Chapter of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) along with the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to pilot a program designed to promote some of our highly motivated students to perform higher in school and to consider majoring in STEM once they go to college. By providing each high school student in the program with a college mentor and having a SHPE Professional connected to the college mentor, we hope to establish a pipeline that will lead to great student outcomes and overall academic and personal success of each student.
